About Us
Synergy Boatworks was founded by Ed Sutt in 1995 when a search for a set of plans for a small "pack" kayak came up short.   From there, the JAM 8 was born.  The interest from a few local boat shows and pictures in Woodenboat and Sea Kayaker drove the plan development as well as the continuation of developing boats with unique features that are fun to use.
